Description

Desktility is a 'snapshot' application that can take snapshots of your computer's desktop icon layout. It can also take screensnaps of your programs, games, applications and anything else on your computer monitor. It automatically numbers and saves these screensnaps to a variety of formats, such as JPG, PNG, TIF or GIF, or it can email/print them.

Some programs and games change the monitor resolution, causing the desktop icons to scatter randomly. Crashing, booting into safe mode, or updating some drivers will also cause your desktop items to lose their locations. Desktility can detect when the resolution changes, and place your icons back to their home positions. You can set it to automatically reset your icons, or you can activate it at any time via a hotkey, the main interface, or the system tray. It is extremely easy to use, and saves loads of time and unwanted frustration.

Desktility will override the Windows' built-in screenshot function and will provide many additional options. An extremely useful feature is the ability to instantly press the 'PrtScrn' key, and having a jpg instantly saved to disk! No more opening a 'Word' document to paste the screenshot.

The program can also take a screensnap of portions of your desk, or specific windows. With the ability to auto enumerate and save your files to disk, email, clipboard or printer, your relationship with the print screen key will never be the same. Powerusers can also enable additional hotkeys to take any of the three types of screenshots instantly!
